On September 21st 2012 the TKU held its first charity art auction. With the generous donations from our community of artists, we were able to raise over $10,000 for Karmablast, a non-profit group dedicated to building schools and monasteries for the Tibetan people. We were able to help fund a project that is building a school for nomadic girls. We are honored to have participated in helping this project get off the ground.
Below are the ad generously designed by Remy Holwick in the September edition of Work Magazine, and the stunning show poster donated to us by the talented artists at Malleus Art Labs in Milan, Italy. Thank you all for your hard work and tireless support!
On August 8, 2013, the TKU will have its second charity art auction benefitting Tibet House. Tibet House US aims to promote and preserve Tibetan culture by serving as both a cultural center in New York City and an online global resource for those interested in Tibetan civilization.
